New trips schedule for all Kayak & Ducky trips!!  Ducky & Kayak trips will only run on certain days of the week in 2009.  The schedule will make it easier for small groups, who previously would not have enough people, to book these exciting adventures.  We may be able to accommodate large groups (10 or more) on days that the requested trip may not be available.  Large groups must call for special availability.  See the schedule posted below for availability.
Beginner Ducky trips and kayak lessons can be reserved online by anyone for the spots available.  All advanced Ducky trips, intermediate and advanced kayak lessons, and Mini-me raft trips must be reserved over the phone and all participants in these trips will have to pass a basic screening about their abilities.

Clean the Poudre 2009

Mountain Whitewater Descents’ annual river cleanup event will be held on May 16, 2009.  Any and all volunteers are encouraged to attend.  We will meet at Lee Martinez Park (in the dirt parking lot across from Dazbog Coffee Shop) in Fort Collins at 9am.  We will clean the banks of the Poudre River until around noon.  We will provide the trash bags.  All you need is a pair of gloves and the desired to help clean our amazing river.  There will be a volunteer appreciation event with food and drinks after the cleanup at the MWD shop on Highway 287.  Check us out at www.americanrivers.org/goto/cleanthepoudre to sign-up or email ben@raftmwd.com for more information.

Off-season Activities

In November of 2008, seven of MWD’s employees were happily surprised by a vacation to the Riviera Maya in Mexico.   The vacation was an amazing way to say thank you to the employees for their hard work and dedication to making MWD the best company on the Cache la Poudre River.  The group spent 5 days at an all inclusive resort enjoying the sand, sun and beautiful Caribbean water.  Here is a photo of our crew doing the closest thing they could find to rafting in the Caribbean, tubing through the mangroves at Xel Ha.
